The Administration Division manages the OPCW’s day-to-day human resources, finances, and logistical support.

 

 The Budget and Finance Branch applies best practice budgetary and financial support services to the OPCW. The Branch is responsible for developing and managing the OPCW Programme and Budget, supporting the management and reporting of extra-budgetary funding, preparation of the OPCW Financial Statements, collecting assessed State Party contributions and other income, and administering all payments for the organisation.

 

The Human Resources Branch provides human resources advice and services to the OPCW in relation to human resources planning, sourcing, recruitment and selection, terms and conditions of service, training and staff development programmes, transition support, and individual staff and manager support and separation processes.

 

The Information Services Branch provides functional oversight of all OPCW information technology (IT) and telecommunication systems.

 

The Procurement Section, Infrastructure Support Services Section, and Support Services Section are responsible for procuring goods and services; managing the Organisation’s physical inventory and assets; assisting with matters related to insurance, travel, transportation and removal; and ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of facility management services.

Languages

Fluency in English is essential and a good working knowledge of one of the other official languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is desirable.

Additional Information

This fixed-term appointment is for the duration of two years with a six-month probationary period, and is subject to the OPCW Staff Regulations and Interim Staff Rules.


The OPCW is a non-career organisation with limited staff tenure. The total length of service for Professional staff shall not exceed 7 years.


The Director-General retains the discretion to not make any appointment to this vacancy, to make an appointment at a lower grade, or to make an appointment with a modified job description. Several vacancies may be filled.
